What is the difference between an intimate wedding and a full wedding day? 
I rarely book a full wedding day, but when I do they are an EVENT! We're going to start with getting ready photos of both the ladies and the gentlemen. We are probably going to do a first-look, and get some formal portraits done. There is going to be a ceremony, family photos, and group photos prior to sitting down for dinner. Cocktail photos are a must. Toasts throughout dinner. A first dance, cake cutting...the works!  An intimate wedding will have bits and pieces of the full day, but generally speaking I will only be with you for about 4.5 hours, rather than a full 8. 

How far in advance should we book ?
6 to 9 months for elopements and intimate weddings, a full year for full wedding days.
Looking to book last minute? shoot for mid-week!

What is the booking process?
 You will connect via the contact form or text me. We'll arrange a phone or video chat to see if we're a good fit. If so, I'll send contracts to e-sign and you can mail a check to book services. Once received, you're on the books!
Depending on your needs, we'll touch base periodically until a month out when we'll connect again to finalize timelines, locations, etc.
I promise an organized, thorough process that's not tedious at all. My goal is to make booking and working together seamless for you!

How much is it to have you shoot our wedding?
As noted in the investment section. 50% to hold your day on my calendar and the balance is due 1 month prior to your wedding!

What is your style and approach to wedding photography? Do you do posed portraits, candid shots, or a mix?
I feel my style & identical to my approach to wedding photography; natural and organic in nature with a little bit of help when needed.
a good photographer lets things unfold organically, an amazing photographer will have your back, and pose you making sure you look good <3

How do you guide/direct us during portrait sessions? Do you have sample poses or shots in mind?
we will work together, a little before our time together and most certainly while I'm photographing you!

What cameras, lenses, and other equipment do you use? Do you shoot digital, film, or both? What film format do you shoot with? 
Nikon, Canon. digital and film 35mm. If we're doing an after-dark event (wedding reception) I will bring out some flash) 

Do you even use flash with film or only natural light?
Flash for dancing at your reception when applicable, otherwise we stick with what nature gave us!

How much coverage will you provide on our wedding day? How many hours and photographers?
90 minutes to 2 hours is typical for an elopement of two. 3 - 5 hours for an intimate wedding. full wedding days are roughly 8 hours. 

How many final edited images are included in each package?
On average 50-80 images/hour.  they are final edits.

What is your turnaround time for getting us our final gallery after the wedding?
24 hours following event we share a "preview collection" and then 2-3 weeks full online gallery reveal.  

Do we get printing rights and full resolution images? Can we share digitals online?
of course! 

Do you carry backup equipment in case of technical issues?
yes! i actually shoot weddings with two cameras (did you see this in the video?!) 

What happens if you can't make it to our wedding due to an emergency?
I know a guy ;) But no, really. I do. That's the beauty of living and working in a close-knit community. I've had to fill someone's shoes before and if it came down to it, there's plenty of people who could fill mine. Plus, just so you know, if that ever happened, you'd 100% get a full refund on top of it all. 

Can we see a recent full wedding gallery so we can see image quality and coverage?
did you check out the portfolio page? Elopements and intimate weddings are covered nicely there. My style is very consistent. And if you're thinking of an 8-hour full wedding day, my event at Cuffy's Cove is a beautiful representation of image quality and coverage.  If your venue is on the Mendocino coast, and not listed, please ask! I've shot at every venue that I can think of in 12+ years being here!

What areas do you service and are there any travel fees?
If i can drive there in under 2 hours south (Healdsburg) travel fees are not applied.
If I can drive there in under 4 hours (in any direction) travel fees will apply for accommodations for two nights and will be included in booking as "travel fees" (hotel is for the night before wedding and night of wedding). 
if we need to fly, airfare and accommodations will be included in booking as "travel fees". 

How do you handle tricky lighting situations? 
This is why being organized and location scouting ahead of time is key - so we don't get ourselves in a tricky lighting situation. however, sometimes the coast likes to play games with us, just went we think we're going to have beautiful sunshine, we get fog instead.  Not to worry.

What albums, prints, or other products are available?
Your online gallery will have the option to purchase prints, books, and more! 


How do you incorporate film into your digital workflow?
portrait work will get a lot of film used, and a little less if we're spending more "candid" time together.  In the end, when you receive your images you will not be able to tell the difference between my digital camera files and the film camera files - they are going to be edited to look and feel the same <3
